Congresswoman McClain Delaney Traveling to Minnesota for Field Hearing on Trump’s Lawless Assaults on American Communities

Thursday, January 15, 2026

Tomorrow, Congresswoman April McClain Delaney (MD-06) will join more than two dozen members of Congress for a field hearing, “Kidnapped & Disappeared: Trump’s Deadly Assault on Minnesota.” This hearing comes on the heels of ICE’s killing of 37-year-old U.S. citizen Renee Nicole Good and President Trump’s lawless assaults in Minnesota and throughout the nation. It will feature witnesses who will speak to personal trauma and constitutional violations. The hearing is being organized by Rep. Pramila Jayapal (WA-07), who is Ranking Member of the Immigration, Security, and Enforcement Subcommittee, and Rep. Ilhan Omar (MN-07).

A press conference will immediately follow the hearing. The events will be livestreamed.

The Congresswoman is working closely with fellow Maryland lawmakers and local leaders to push back against the Administration’s treatment of our neighbors in Maryland’s Sixth District. Upon her return, she will conduct an oversight tour of ICE’s Baltimore field office to personally inspect conditions and the treatment of those detained there. Yesterday, she joined House lawmakers in calling for the impeachment of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem. She also strongly opposes and will fight the Administration’s plans to build an ICE detention warehouse in Hagerstown.
