Congresswoman April McClain Delaney Releases Statement on Restoration of Full Federal Funding for I-81 and U.S. 15
WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, Congresswoman April McClain Delaney (MD-06) released a statement on federal funding for I-81 Phase II, which is estimated to be over $99 million in total funding, and U.S. 15, estimated to be over $160 million in total funding:
“I join residents of Maryland's 6th in celebrating the return of this federal funding to rebuild our infrastructure. For well over a year, I have fought to bring back this funding for I-81 and U.S. 15 from the federal Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, which will drive economic development, reduce congestion, and most importantly, improve public safety.
I will continue to fight for Maryland's 6th District to deliver the funding our communities DESERVE, from rebuilding our roads and bridges to deploying universal broadband and expanding access to healthcare. Thank you, Governor Wes Moore, for listening and recognizing this need.”
